Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of GoodNewsVoice (the "Service"), operated at goodnewsvoice.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the branch or organization you represent.

1. Who can use the Service

The Service is intended for use by churches, dioceses, and their branches to manage member records and send communications to their own congregants and contacts. You must be authorized by your organization to create and use an account.

2. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of member/contact data you enter or import into the Service.
• You must have a lawful basis and, where required, appropriate consent to message the contacts you upload — including any contacts imported from your Google account or elsewhere.
• You will not use the Service to send unsolicited, unlawful, deceptive, or harassing messages, or content that violates the policies of Google, Telegram, or any SMS carrier we route through.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Google account integration

If you choose to import contacts from Google, you authorize GoodNewsVoice to read the contacts you select using Google's contacts.readonly scope, solely to copy the selected entries into your member list. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Our use of Google user data is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Messaging (SMS, Email, Telegram)

The Service lets you send messages to members through SMS, email, and Telegram. Delivery depends on third-party carriers and platforms and is not guaranteed. You agree not to use the Service to send spam or messages to recipients who have not consented to be contacted by your organization, and to honor opt-out requests promptly.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to features from time to time.

6. Data ownership

As between you and us, your branch or organization retains ownership of the member and contact data it enters into the Service. We process that data on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that violate these Terms, misuse messaging features, or use the Service unlawfully. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoodNewsVoice is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including message delivery failures caused by third-party carriers or platforms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
